There are two tracks for admission into the MSAT Program:

1) Traditional applicant- completed undergraduate degree
2) 3+2申请人

1)传统申请者 must meet the following minimum requirements for admission:

  • 赢得了 学士 degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
  • Applicants will be evaluated on overall GPA, science GPA and prerequisite GPAs in addition to observation hours, 推荐信, statement of intent and ties to Western Colorado.

    • One (1) course in each of the following:

*解剖学 & Physiology prerequisites may be met by completing either a two semester (or 3 quarters) combined courses of Anatomy & Physiology, or one course in Human Anatomy and a separate course in Human Physiology.

  • The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is 不 required for admission to the Master of Science in 体育训练 Program.
  • 被考虑参加面试, all applicants for whom English is a second language must achieve a minimum score of 550 paper-based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL; 213 on the computer-based tests or 79-80 on the internet-based test), 在过去的两年里. 
  • Advanced placement will be reviewers as a part of the entire application packet. 
  • All students who enter the program must fulfill all program requirements.

 

2) 3+2名申请人 must meet the following minimum requirements for admission:

Applicants must meet the following criteria in addition to all of the criteria for the MSAT program.

  • 被列为高级(i).e., at least 90 credit hours including hours in which student is currently enrolled and for which the student is registered for a future semester.).
  • 至少3分.0 overall GPA and must have at least a 3.0 GPA in courses in the student’s declared major.
  • A 3+2 Concurrent Enrollment application form 给MSAT项目主任.
  • Submit 给MSAT项目主任 how all remaining bachelor degree requirements and all MSAT requirements will be met in two years via the 3+2 Concurrent Enrollment application form. 
  • Complete the MSAT program admission process.


After admission into the Bachelor Degree 3+2 MSAT Concurrent Enrollment Program, the student:

  • Must follow the two-year recommended course sequence for the MSAT course component.
  • Must notify the MSAT Program Director immediately if justifiable life circumstances do not allow the student to complete both undergraduate and graduate programs within two years of admission into the program.
  • Must complete ALL bachelor degree graduation requirements in the same semester or prior to completing all MSAT graduation requirements.
  • Must submit the necessary paperwork to graduate with the bachelor degree to the 运动学系 with a copy 给MSAT项目主任 AND must submit the necessary paperwork to graduate with the MSAT and MSAT Program Director. This requirement must be met before the published deadline in the semester prior to intended graduation.
